SEN Teacher
Location: Reading, Berkshire

Uniform Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for a specialist school in Reading. The school supports children and young people with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the unique needs of your pupils
*
Lead a class team of Teaching Assistants to provide consistent and high-quality support
*
Use AAC systems such as PECS, Makaton, and high-tech devices to enhance communication and learning
*
Embed therapeutic strategies into your teaching by working closely with therapists and other professionals
*
Support Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) by contributing to reviews and progress reports
*
Foster independence, confidence, and emotional regulation within your class
What We’re Looking For:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with proven SEN teaching experience (specialist school experience desirable)
*
Strong knowledge of sensory learning, communication approaches, and positive behaviour support
*
Experience supporting pupils with SLD, ASC, or PMLD
*
A collaborative, adaptable, and resilient approach to teaching
*
A valid enhanced DBS on the Update ServiceBefore You Apply
