SEN Teacher
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Contract Type: Full-Time | Term Time Only
Simply Education is currently seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a dedicated and supportive special needs school in Peterborough. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual committed to helping students with a range of learning difficulties and additional needs thrive both academically and personally.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEN
Develop and implement personalised Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in collaboration with other professionals
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Use a range of strategies to support communication, sensory integration, and behaviour management
Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching approaches as needed
Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic development of each pupil🔹 What We are Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Previous experience teaching students with SEN in a specialist or mainstream setting
Strong understanding of a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD
Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
A nurturing, creative, and flexible approach to teaching
Full-time availability (Monday-Friday, term time)Safeguarding Statement:
