SEN Teacher - Portsmouth
A community-run SEN school in Portsmouth is looking for a passionate SEN Teacher to join their KS2 team. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, this school supports pupils aged 4-19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

The Role
This SEN Teacher position is ideal for an experienced specialist or a mainstream teacher looking to transition into SEN. You'll create a nurturing, inclusive environment and design individualised learning plans that promote engagement, independence, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teacher:
As a SEN Teacher you will plan and deliver personalised programmes tailored to student needs
As a SEN Teacher you will work closely with care plans to support development and success
As a SEN Teacher you will lead and collaborate with a dedicated classroom support team
As a SEN Teacher you will partner with therapists, psychologists, parents, and caregivers
As a SEN Teacher you will monitor progress and adapt strategies as an SEN Teacher in the classroom
What we're looking for in a SEN Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong knowledge of ASD and SLD
Experience in primary or early years is an advantage
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
