Permanent Role Term Time
Due to an increase in pupil numbers, Tezlom are looking to recruit Teachers to support young people within an Independent Specialist School in Peterborough. The school supports children from the ages of 9-19 years of age. The pupils we support have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan), together with significant physical impairment, complex health needs, learning disability and / or Autistic Spectrum Conditions.
Working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities can be a challenging but rewarding job whatever the role; it’s a job that requires enthusiasm, dedication, energy, and a sense of humour. However, if you are committed to helping improve the lives of children, your own life will be enriched from the satisfaction you get from seeing each individual make progress against adversity.
It is an essential element of this role that you are committed to implementing school policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety and general welfare of children including reporting any safeguarding concerns in an appropriate and timely manner.
The core hours of work during term time (38 weeks) are (8.00am until 4.00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 8.30 am until 5.00 pm on a Wednesday)
Core subject include Numeracy (Maths) Literacy (English) and ICT/Computing.
Qualifications Required:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Understanding of SEND and previous experience
* Able to work across term time as requiredBefore You Apply
