Needs: Autism, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, Communication & Sensory Needs
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a warm and inclusive special school in Brighton that caters to pupils aged 4-16 with a range of additional needs including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and communication and sensory processing differences.
As a permanent SEN Teacher, you'll become a key part of a skilled, collaborative team committed to helping every child thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role - SEN Teacher
Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs
Create a safe, consistent, and stimulating learning environment
Implement EHCP targets and support personalised learning pathways
Work closely with support staff, therapists, and families
Use structured teaching strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables
Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture that celebrates all achievements
What We're Looking For - SEN Teacher
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience as an SEN Teacher or strong interest in SEN/ASD settings
Understanding of autism, sensory needs, and differentiated learning
Excellent communication, patience, and behaviour management strategies
A child-centred, empathetic, and proactive approach
