SEN Teacher - Aspiring SENCO
Location: Southwark, South East London
Salary: £44,236 - £60,464 per annum
Start Date: October 2025 (or January 2026)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

A thriving primary school in Southwark is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled SEN Teacher who is keen to transition into a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) position. This role begins in October 2025 (or January 2026 at the latest) and includes full training and support for the right candidate.

Role overview
Coordinate SEND provision across the school while receiving mentoring and structured training.
Work closely with classroom teachers to promote inclusive practice.

Take responsibility for managing EHCPs, intervention programmes, and individual support plans.
Person specification
Proven experience as an SEN Teacher in a mainstream primary or specialist setting.
Strong interest in progressing towards a SENCO role.
Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership potential.
Willingness to undertake SENCO accreditation if not already achieved.
