A specialist primary school in Thame is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in a supportive and well-established SEN setting.

The Role
You will lead a small class group with the support of experienced Teaching Assistants, delivering adapted and creative lessons tailored to pupils’ individual education plans (IEPs). The role requires a teacher with flexibility, patience, and a clear understanding of how to support pupils with a range of SEN.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils
Support the emotional, social, and academic development of each child
Work closely with TAs, therapists, and families to ensure consistent progress
Contribute to the development of a positive, inclusive school culture
Ideal Candidate
We welcome applications from both experienced SEN teachers and qualified mainstream teachers looking to transition into special education.
You will need:
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience working with children with SEN (in school or other relevant settings)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to teaching
