Salary: GBP160GBP210 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to cover maternity leave at a specialist provision in Halifax. The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs including autism, SEMH, and learning difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a nurturing and trauma-informed setting where every childs progress is celebrated.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs.
Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development.
Collaborate with SEN Teaching Assistants, therapists, and external professionals.
Monitor and report on pupil progress, maintaining accurate records.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies and safeguarding practices.
Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) is essential.
Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally in a specialist or SEMH setting.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches and inclusive education.
Resilient, empathetic, and confident in managing challenging behaviour.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
