SEN Teacher – Secondary (Autism & EHCPs) 📍 Birmingham 💰 Competitive PAYE dependent on experience 🕒 Full Time – Temp to Perm 📅 Start Date: September 2026 About the Role We are currently recruiting for a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join a specialist secondary provision supporting pupils with Autism and EHCPs. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and developing provision, where you will play a key role in shaping a curriculum that meets the diverse needs of young people with additional needs. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and personalised lessons, supporting both the academic and personal development of pupils in a structured and nurturing environment. The Role Will Involve: * Teaching pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 * Planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet EHCP targets * Supporting pupils with Autism and communication needs * Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment * Working closely with support staff, families and external professionals * Contributing to the development of curriculum and learning approaches About You We are looking for a teacher who: * Has experience working with pupils with Autism and SEN * Has taught across at least two Key Stages (desirable) * Is enthusiastic, adaptable and willing to learn * Can bring creativity, structure and positivity to the classroom * Is a strong team player with excellent communication skills * Is flexible and able to adapt to different classes and pupil needs * Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable learners Opportunities for Progression As the provision continues to grow, there are excellent opportunities for: * Curriculum or subject leadership responsibilities * Involvement in whole-school development * Progression into middle or senior leadership roles * Ongoing coaching and professional development What’s on Offer ✨ MPR/UPR salary + SEN allowance (once role goes permanent) ✨ A supportive and forward-thinking leadership team ✨ Strong focus on CPD and career progression ✨ Opportunity to shape a developing secondary provision ✨ A rewarding role making a real difference to young people’s lives ✨ Access to wellbeing and support services Safeguarding This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and all relevant pre-employment checks, including references, right to work and medical clearance.
