SEN Teacher - Unique and Distinctive School - Therapeutic Education - Woking Are you an experienced, outstanding teacher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a passion for working with vulnerable children and want to make a real difference to children's lives? We are recruiting for a unique and distinctive school environment that is highly effective in supporting complex children to achieve as much as they can within education. Small class sizes with specialist TA support Bespoke education Therapeutic environment Years 3 to 11 Outside space Modern, light and fresh learning spaces Dedicated therapy roomThe school is passionate about all children accessing and most importantly, enjoying education. Their aim is to develop young people who are responsible, caring and respectful of others, and have a strong sense of fairness and what is 'right'. Central to the school ethos is the belief that behaviour can be modified, managed and enhanced, and that pupils can be encouraged and taught to manage their behaviour to create positive environments where learning can take place in a calm, purposeful atmosphere. The school is proud to offer a range of therapeutic interventions for children, provided by an in-house multi-disciplinary team, and supported by New Ways Safeguarding. The interventions they provide are the following: Assessing & Healing Complex Trauma (AHCT) Children with Learning Disabilities (CWLD) Overcoming Childhood Trauma (OCT) Overcoming Sexual Trauma (OST)The school believes that the visible and invisible effects of complex trauma manifest in so many different, unique and extreme ways. Therefore, every child is given the opportunity for specific and bespoke individual therapeutic interventions at any point that a need arises.
