A warm and inclusive primary school in the Borough of Hackney is searching for a SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:2 Support to join their fantastic EYFS (Reception) team. This full-time role starts September 2025 and continues for the full academic year.
This highly supportive school has a caring and creative ethos, and is looking for a nurturing individual to join their dedicated SEN team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:2 Support, you will support two pre-verbal pupils with ASC, following bespoke timetables and contributing to a truly personalised learning environment. This role also involves personal care and regular collaboration with the school's SENCO.
This SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:2 Support role is ideal for a graduate in Psychology/Child Development/Social Sciences because:
You'll gain first-hand experience supporting early communication needs and developmental milestones
You'll work as part of a multi-disciplinary SEN team including therapists and support staff
You'll receive training tailored to EYFS and ASC, including communication aids and sensory strategies

Understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition, especially in EYFS
Comfortable supporting with personal care
