SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD) Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary Start Date: 01/09/2025 Location: Harrow Salary: £85-£100 Hours of Work: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Term Time Only) Are you a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? About the Role We are seeking a full-time SEN teaching assistant to work closely with pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who have been diagnosed with ASD. The role involves working on a 1:1 basis as well as providing small group interventions to support emotional regulation, social interaction, and academic development. You will be an integral part of a highly supportive SEN team, collaborating with class teachers and the school’s SENCo to tailor strategies that meet the unique needs of each child. Patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of ASD are essential qualities for success in this role.
