SEN Teaching Assistant - ASD Specialist Location: Camberwell, Lambeth Setting: Secondary ASD School Daily Rate: £90-£110 (Depending on Experience) Start Date: ASAP | Full-Time | Long-Term Role Are you passionate about supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We're looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant with experience in ASD to join a brilliant, supportive Secondary ASD school in Camberwell (Lambeth). You will work closely with teachers and therapists to help deliver a personalised, engaging curriculum. Responsibilities: Supporting students 1:1 and in small group sessions Aiding in the delivery of tailored lessons to meet students' EHCP targets Using visual aids, PECS, Makaton or AAC (where applicable) Creating a calm, structured learning environment Promoting social skills, independence and emotional regulation Assisting with personal care when required (some roles may involve this) Ideal Candidate Profile: Experience supporting children or young people with Autism (ASD) Strong understanding of communication and sensory needs Patient, empathetic and adaptable Team player with a proactive attitude A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one) Desirable (But Not Essential): Knowledge of PECS, Makaton or TEACCH Background in SEN schools, residential care, or youth work Experience with challenging behaviour or complex needs Apply Today - Start Making a Difference Tomorrow!
