Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people? We are currently recruiting dedicated SEN TAs to support pupils across primary and secondary schools in the Aston area of Birmingham.

You’ll be joining schools that:

Champion inclusive education and celebrate diversity

Have a range of SEN provision, including resource bases and 1:1 support
*
Offer excellent mentoring and training for TAs working with SEN pupils
Responsibilities
*
Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties
*
Assist the class teacher in adapting resources and lesson plans to meet individual learning needs
*
Use behaviour management strategies effectively to promote a positive learning environment
*
Support pupils with their emotional regulation and social development
*
Liaise with SENCOs, teachers, and other professionals to track and support pupil progress
*
Support personal care needs if required (full training provided)
Requirements
*
Minimum 6 months of experience working with children in the UK (school, nursery, or youth work settings)
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
*
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
*
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with pupils with additional needs
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills
*
A flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to changing classroom needs
