SEN Teaching Assistant – EYFS/KS1 | Challenging Behaviour
Acocks Green, Birmingham | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30–3:30 | January 2026 Start
APT Education is recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in EYFS and KS1 with Autism, ADHD, and associated behavioural needs. This role is based in a primary school in Acocks Green that presents behavioural challenges but offers a committed leadership team and a supportive staff culture.
You’ll be working 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils regulate emotions, access learning, and build trust through consistent, professional support. The school values staff who are calm, resilient, and confident in managing behaviour with empathy and structure.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs
* Is confident managing challenging behaviour in early years and KS1 settings
* Brings a proactive, emotionally intelligent approach to support
* Is available full-time from January 2026
