SEN Teaching Assistant – Long-Term Contract
Location: Muswell Hill, North London
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on PAYE or Umbrella)
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in the heart of Muswell Hill is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.
This role is ideal for someone with proven experience supporting children with high-level Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will be working closely with multiple pupils across different year groups, providing targeted support tailored to individual needs, both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with high SEN/ASD needs
*
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
*
Help implement behaviour support plans and EHCP strategies
*
Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting regularly to SENCo and teaching staff
*
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
*
Minimum 6 months' experience working in a similar SEN support role within a school setting
*
Strong understanding of ASD and other complex needs
*
Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
*
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*
Right to work in the UK and a valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
