Job Description
I am rectruiting for a Co-Educator (SEN Teaching Assistant) for a school in Colchester, with pupils aged 3 – 19 who have complex learning difficulties (profound and multiple learning difficulties and severe learning difficulties) and those on the Autistic spectrum.
The school offers a tailored curriculum that inspires an interest in learning whilst also helping to develop important life skills and independence. Innovative teaching approaches engage and motivate.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 3.00pm, with 45 minute unpaid lunch break (26.25 hours per week) - TERM TIME ONLY PLUS NON PUPIL DAYS
You must have a willingness to work with all ages across the school. Having experience of working with children or with special needs would be an advantage. Having experience of sensory learning and a therapeutic approach to beahviours and learning an advantage but training will be given.
The successful candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including: eligibility to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS disclosure and full references including one from your most recent employer.
