SEN Teaching Assistant – Barking & Dagenham
Are you looking for a new position as a SEN Teaching Assistant in Barking & Dagenham. If so, this may be the perfect position for you. Pertemps Education is working alongside a 5-form entry primary school who are seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students of primary age.
This will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. There will be an opportunity to go permanent upon review. The daily rate will be between £100 to £110 depending on your experience.
About the school:
Large community primary school based in Barking
5-form entry school accommodating to a high number of students per year group
Caters for children aged 4 to 11
Rated Good by Ofsted across all key areas
Hosts an Additional Resource Provision for students with cognition and learning difficulties
Strong emphasis on inclusion and nurture across the school
Key responsibilities:
Able to work across KS2 in different year groups from Year 3 to Year 6
Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assisting students with Autism and/or additional learning needs
Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
Providing feedback to teachers and parents
The ideal candidate:
Can work full-time, 5 days a week during term time
Can work from 08:30 AM to 03:30 PM
Have experience working with students with a range of SEND
Be enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential
Comfortable working as part of a team and can form relationships
