Job Description
Milk Education is recruiting caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join fantastic SEN schools across Derby, working on a long-term or short-term basis, starting immediately.
This is a brilliant opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs to reach their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
* Assist teachers in adapting lessons and learning activities to meet individual pupil targets.
* Support pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation throughout the school day.
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement, ensuring a calm and nurturing learning space.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN or additional learning needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient, caring attitude.
* Ability to work effectively under the guidance of teachers and SEN staff.
* A resilient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils.
