Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant – Long Term/Permanent Roles Starting January Some pupils need a little more patience and consistency to thrive. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for skilled and caring SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people across EYFS, primary, and secondary settings from January. Whether your experience lies in a mainstream classroom, specialist provision, or alternative setting, you’ll be joining a team that values the calm, steady presence you bring each day. What’s on Offer: * Long-term/Permanent, full-time placements starting in January. * Opportunities to work across a range of schools and provisions. * Ongoing CPD and support from a specialist SEN agency team. Responsibilities: * Provide 1:1 and/or small-group support for students with additional learning needs. * Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to adapt lessons and promote engagement. * Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour. * Support with social and emotional development during structured and unstructured times. * Record observations and communicate progress to colleagues and parents. * Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe, and nurturing learning environment. Requirements: * At least 6 months’ experience supporting students in schools or educational settings within the last 3 years. * Strong understanding of autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs. * Adaptable approach to meet individual needs across different age groups. * Calm, positive attitude and ability to build trust quickly. * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Why Sprint? We’re not like other education recruitment agencies. If you’re looking to work as a Year 6 teacher in a mainstream classroom, providing day-to-day supply cover, we’re probably not the agency for you. But if you’re passionate about supporting students with additional needs and want a long-term or permanent role where you can build consistency and see the impact of your work every day, that’s exactly what we do. It’s also why so many schools across Coventry and Warwickshire choose Sprint to help them find high-quality SEN support for their students. We only work with people who are genuinely motivated to make a difference for children with additional needs. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
