SEN Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor (KS2)
Location: Camden
Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing
Contract: Full-time, long-term

Tradewind Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Camden. This is a fantastic opportunity to support KS2 pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH) on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to develop self-regulation, confidence, and engagement in learning.
The Role
Provide targeted behaviour and emotional support for KS2 pupils
Implement personalised behaviour plans and de-escalation strategies
Build strong, trusting relationships to promote positive learning behaviours
Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCo, and pastoral team
Support pupils to manage transitions and maintain focus in lessons
Encourage emotional literacy and social development through structured activities
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience supporting children with behavioural or SEMH needs
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting challenging behaviour
Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
