The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will: Support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other additional needs. Work on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, ensuring pupils are fully engaged in learning and achieving their targets. Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to deliver individualised learning plans. Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment. Undertake training and professional development to enhance your SEN expertise. Provide personal care support when required. About You To be successful in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need: A Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification, or a degree-level education. Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN or in a care environment. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young people.
