Long Term Futures is recruiting a committed, resilient ASD & Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils in a welcoming and inclusive junior school in Haringey.
This role is ideal for someone confident supporting children with Autism and behaviour needs, using a structured, calm and consistent approach to help them stay engaged, regulate their emotions, and develop positive learning behaviours.
You will work across the school providing 1:1 and small-group support, following strategies designed by the SENCO, class teachers and pastoral team. A key responsibility is ensuring pupils remain focused while helping to maintain a positive classroom environment for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
Support KS2 pupils with Autism and behavioural needs
Promote positive behaviour using clear boundaries and routine
Help pupils with emotional regulation and social interaction
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams
Support pupils to build confidence, independence and resilience
Encourage engagement and reduce behaviours that may disrupt learning
