SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time - KS1

Tradewind Education Agency is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a welcoming KS1 primary school in Camden, starting January 2026.

This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop socially and emotionally, and reach their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN in Key Stage 1

Support learning across the curriculum, including phonics, literacy, and numeracy

Implement individual education plans (IEPs/EHCPs)

Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals

Support inclusion and promote independence

Assist with personal care where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language)

Experience in a KS1 or EYFS setting (essential)

A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
