At Education Personnel, we are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of one of our fantastic partner primary schools for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. This opportunity is based within a supportive and friendly primary school in the Mansfield area, where meeting the needs of pupils with additional requirements is a key priority.

As the SEN Teaching Assistant in this role, you will play an important part in the school’s SEND provision. You will work alongside teachers, specialist staff, and families to provide tailored support that reflects each child’s individual needs and strengths. The school is committed to ongoing professional development and will encourage you to build your skills in supporting pupils with a wide range of SEND needs.
Desirables and Expectations

Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a primary setting – desirable

Ability to work 1:1 or in small groups to deliver targeted interventions

Good understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with varied SEND needs, including social, emotional and learning differences
*
Strong communication skills for building positive relationships with colleagues, families, and external professionals
*
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children
*
Confidence adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning needs
*
Commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion
*
Enthusiasm for contributing to the wider life of the school and promoting an inclusive environment
