Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Level 2) - Long-Term SEN Support
 Location: Primary School in Blackburn through Veritas Education

Job Description:
 Veritas Education is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in a welcoming primary school in Blackburn. This position involves providing 1:1 support for two pupils-one in Year 2 and one in Year 5-both with ADHD and ASD. The role offers a varied and rewarding day, combining academic support, movement-based strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver consistent 1:1 support tailored to each child's individual needs
Implement movement breaks and sensory strategies to support focus and regulation
Provide intervention support, particularly in English, using modelling and scaffolding techniques
Support the Year 2 pupil with single letter sounds and early phonics development
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure effective supportWhat We're Looking For:

A relevant qualification, such as Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
Experience supporting children with ADHD, ASD, or similar additional needs
A calm, patient, and proactive approach to learning and behaviour support
Confidence in delivering interventions and adapting learning materials
