1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire!

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of students with ASD & Complex Needs? We have an incredible opportunity for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our partner school’s supportive and dedicated team in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

This SEN School provides support to Primary and Secondary aged pupils and are committed to helping students thrive in small groups by offering tailored support. If you’re flexible, sensitive, patient, and resilient, this role is perfect for you! 

Position Details:

Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
	
Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
	
Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00-15:30 (Term-Time Only)
	
Salary: £95-£105/Day inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay
	
Contract: Temp to Perm

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Organise engaging learning resources and activities.
	
Adapt lessons to meet students’ needs.
	
Provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
	
Assist with personal care when required.
	
Supervise pupils during educational visits and breaks.
	
Promote independence, teamwork, and positive behaviour.
	
Use ICT tools to enhance learning.
	
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and professionals.

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Skills and Requirements:

Previous experience supporting students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
	
A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach to working with children.
	
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
	
A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and promoting the welfare of young people.
	
A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
	
Must be able to commute to Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
