The Specialist Academy is seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants as part of our three-year growth plan. The academy supports pupils from primary through to secondary age; therefore, applicants are encouraged to state their preferred age range in their application. Opportunities are available across both phases, and staff flexibility is highly valued, supporting future career progression.
There are also opportunities to work additional hours within the residential care team for those who are interested.
This Specialist Academy is a residential special school for boys aged 7–16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Our pupils often arrive with disrupted educational experiences and complex challenges. * Undertake further training as required by the Trust
* Complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
* Comply with the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009, including completing a declaration form where applicable
* Demonstrate effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken
