Job Description

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Crawley

Pay: £92.63 - £98.23 daily rate

Monday -Friday

8:30 am – 3:45 pm

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will support students with special educational needs in their learning and development, working closely with the SEN team and classroom teachers to provide tailored assistance and ensure an inclusive educational environment.

If you have experience working with children or adults with learning difficulties or challenging behaviour we would like to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  * Provide individualised support to students with special educational needs, both inside and outside the classroom.

  * Assist in the implementation of EHCP’s (Education & Health Care Plan) and support strategies developed by the SEN team and classroom teachers.

  * Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the unique needs of SEN students.

  * Support students in developing social skills, independence, and self-confidence.

  * Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.

  * Assist with classroom management and behaviour support, ensuring a safe and orderly learning environment.

Must have:

  * Ability to work well independently and as a team

  * Has a passion to support and empower children and young people

  * A DBS on the Updates Service

  * Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
