Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of Endeavour Multi Academy Trust for multiple Teaching Assistant opportunities across their primary and secondary school in Burton Upon Trent for the new academic year starting in September. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. We have a variety of opportunities available, including: Day-to-day cover assignments offering maximum flexibility Short-term placements across different schools and year groups Long-term and ongoing positions for candidates looking to develop their career and make a lasting impact on students' livesWhether you are seeking flexible work to fit around other commitments or a more consistent role where you can build your experience and progress within education, we would love to hear from you. Essential RequirementsApplicants must: Hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Have a minimum of 6 months' UK-based experience working with children in a school, childcare, or residential setting Be able to provide a minimum of 2 years' worth of references, including at least one referee who can comment on your interaction and work with children Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new DBS through Smile Education Have a genuine passion for supporting the care, wellbeing, and education of children and young people Be able to immerse yourself in school life and become a positive role model for students Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach, understanding that no two days are the same Have the confidence and resilience to manage challenging behaviour and effectively de-escalate situations when required Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a wider school team Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be committed to promoting positive outcomes for students with SENDAbout Endeavour Multi Academy Trust Our Mission We encourage and support everyone in our learning community to be the best they can be.
