Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a patient, caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships with pupils?
TeacherActive are recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist SEND setting in Greenwich.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs and may work on a 1:1 basis, within small groups or alongside the class teacher. You will help pupils access learning, develop communication and independence, manage behaviour positively and work closely with teachers and other professionals to support individual education and care plans.
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
Experience working with autism, learning difficulties or complex needs
A patient, caring and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
A good understanding of safeguarding
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Personal care experience would be beneficial
