SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay Rate: £90 – 120 Per Day
Location: Bromsgrove
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 8.30 – 15.30
Duration: The remainder of 24/25 Academic Year & All of 2025/2026 Academic Year
Smart Education are working with a Middle School located in the heart of the Midlands, located just outside of Birmingham, in Bromsgrove. This school are looking to appoint a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join them from as soon as possible for a 1:1 role supporting a pupil aged 12 that will run through to the end of the academic year 2026 initially.
The role will see the successful SEN TA taking on a 1:1 support role working with a year 8 pupil who has recently received a statement. The pupil has a history of challenging behaviour, though this is more from frustration that any personality disorders.
The successful applicant will be an experienced SEN TA with Key Stage 2/3 experience who is passionate about supporting and working with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, who are looking to overcome their challenges. This SEN Teaching Assistant role will see you taking on working with this pupil for the remainder of the academic year and next academic year. There is a high likelihood that a successful placement will result in the offer of continued support for this pupil for the duration of their schooling.

Job Requirements for this 1:1 SEN TA role:
* Must have experience of supporting SEN pupils
* Must hold a Valid Child DBS (Or be willing to get one)
* Must have a minimum of 6 months 1:1 SEN TA experience
* Patience, empathy and a commitment to serving the pupils you support to the best of your ability
* Clear understanding and commitment to safeguarding
* Strong communication and teamwork to work with the class teacher and general TA’s that support the class in the morning.
