SEN Teaching Assistant About the school Teach Now are working with a thriving and inclusive 3-form entry school in Welwyn and Hatfield, Hertfordshire, currently seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025. The role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils across Key Stages 3 to 5 with a range of needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing needs, and SEMH. Your role will involve: • Providing 1:1 support inside and outside the classroom • Delivering personalised intervention programmes • Supporting with sensory breaks and regulating emotions • Following therapy programmes created by speech & language and occupational therapists • Collaborating with class teachers and the SENCo to ensure effective support and progress Who we're looking for We are looking for a calm, reliable, and compassionate individual with prior experience working with SEN students, ideally at the secondary level. You’ll need to be patient, adaptable, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.
