Horizon Teachers are offering an exciting opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and diverse academy in the heart of Southwark. The school have an enthusiastic and talented team of staff who help children to be knowledgeable, curious and caring learners.
SEN Teaching Assistant roles and responsibilities:
Has initiative, is practical, positive, warm, and compassionate and is able to support children academically, socially and emotionally
Has experience of working with children of all ages
Has experience of working with a range of special educational needs including children who are non-verbal
Has experience of carrying out targeted interventions, working with EHCPs and with external professionals
Has a positive attitude and who is flexible and able to adapt to different situations
Is hard working, energetic, enthusiastic and who will support our school ethos and values
Has the ability to support children's academic, social and emotional development in all Ley Stages ( EYFS to Year 6)
Is able to develop positive relationships with pupils, having an understanding of their social and emotional needs
