SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Autism Support Location: Barking & Dagenham Start Date: June 2025 Contract: Supply (part-time or full-time options available) Daily Rate: £90 - £100 (dependent on experience) Year Groups: Nursery to Year 6 Join Tradewind Recruitment as a SEN Teaching Assistant Tradewind is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary schools in Barking & Dagenham. This role involves providing 1:1 support for pupils with autism and is available on both short-term and long-term supply contracts. We Are Looking For Candidates Who: Have previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly autism. Are confident in delivering 1:1 or small group interventions (phonics and SATS support experience is desirable). Can build positive, professional relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Show patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to support. Demonstrate strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills. Understand child development and are familiar with IEPs and EHCPs. Essential Requirements: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Right to work in the UK. A complete CV covering all employment since leaving formal education. Two recent professional references. Overseas police clearance (if applicable).
