SEN Teaching Assistant
Teach Now is seeking a passionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant with a proven track record in managing and supporting challenging behaviours to join a forward-thinking and nurturing primary school in Brent, North West London.
This part-time permanent role is ideal for someone ready to play a vital role in shaping the learning journey of children who require consistent, tailored behavioural support. If you are calm under pressure, enthusiastic about inclusive education, and confident in your ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils displaying challenging behaviour across KS1 and KS2.
• Implement de-escalation strategies and behaviour support plans effectively.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals.
• Monitor progress and provide detailed feedback to support individualised learning.
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience working with children exhibiting challenging behaviour (school or alternative settings).
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and remain calm in dynamic classroom situations.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
