About the Role
Long Term Futures are seeking an organised and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support young learners in an Ofsted-rated "Good" primary school in Nottingham. The role involves supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and assisting the class teacher to create an inclusive learning environment. This long-term role offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one support for pupils with SEN.
Create a safe, supportive learning environment through an "active working" approach.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure inclusive support strategies.
Record and monitor pupil progress and engagement.What We're Looking For
Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, Early Years Educator, or equivalent.
Proven experience supporting children with special educational needs in a primary school.
Ability to maintain an inclusive, well-organised classroom setting.
Desirable: experience in an "active school" or hands-on learning environment.
