SEN Teaching Assistant
About the role
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have the patience, creativity, and dedication to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity waiting for you in a truly special school.
We are working with a beautiful, vibrant primary school in Haringey, described by many as a “hidden gem” — a green oasis of calm, creativity, and ambition. With a nurturing ethos and a focus on excellence, this school provides an inspiring and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
This role is to support a Year 6 pupil with dyslexia, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop strategies for independent learning. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo, delivering targeted interventions and offering 1:1 classroom support that’s tailored, patient, and empowering.
What makes this school special
• A happy, creative learning environment where children consistently exceed national expectations
• A team of passionate and skilled educators, always seeking to improve and innovate
• A broad and rich curriculum that goes far beyond the basics
• A genuine commitment to inclusion, support, and staff wellbeing
• Lovely outdoor space and calm surroundings that promote a positive learning atmosphere
What we’re looking for
• Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally dyslexia or other learning differences
• A calm, encouraging, and nurturing approach
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills
• A commitment to making every moment in the classroom count
If you're ready to work in a school where your contribution will be valued and where you’ll be part of a warm, collaborative, and forward-thinking team, we’d love to hear from you.
