Teaching Assistant - SEN Schools
Roles starting ASAP as well as September start roles
Supply, short term, long term, FTC, Permanent - all available (flexible to your preference!)
Up to £120 per day, depending on experienceWe are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants with SEN experience to join our team to support schools across Croydon and the surrounding areas.
As a Teaching Assistant in an special school you will need to have prior experience with some needs, this can be from previous SEN schools or working in mainstream school supporting SEN children.
We work with clients who support children with varied levels of needs so regardless of the level of needs you have worked with in the past, we could have a school that is right for you.
We are seeking someone who has a passion for supporting SEN children and their ability to support pupils in both 1:1 and group settings.
Day to day as a Teaching Assistant you will be:
Provide a safe and nurturing environment
Build positive relationships with the child
Supporting to explain and complete tasks
Communicating with parents
Promoting the general wellbeing of the children
Observe and assess the pupils progress and be able to report back to the classroom teacher and parentsWe are looking for someone with:
Excellent communication skills
A brilliant team player
A genuine passion for working with children
A positive, can-do attitudePrior experience within an SEN TA role is desirable but not essential. If you have prior experience working within any similar industry such as care, nursing, mental health support, counselling, police work etc. any industries where you would need to be passionate and have a caring nature then you could have the right transferable skills!
You will need to be happy to complete our compliance process which will include a DBS and references.
