About the Role
Are you a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of ASD and ADHD? Do you have experience supporting pupils across KS2 and are looking to make a real impact in a warm and nurturing school environment? If so, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you.
This full-time position is split between two year groups:
AM: Support two delightful Year 6 boys with high-functioning ASD and ADHD. Both need support staying on task, breaking down activities into manageable steps, and benefit from regular movement breaks. You’ll work with them at the same table, guiding them to stay focused and engaged.
PM: Work with a Year 3 pupil with ASD, newly transitioning from the infant school. Your role will be to help them settle into the new environment, stay focused, and access learning through gentle direction, attention prompts, and scaffolded support.
Requirements
• Experience with ASD and ADHD
• Solid understanding of KS2 curriculum
• Empathy, patience, and excellent behaviour management strategies
