Job Description
A caring and inclusive mainstream primary school in Wantage is looking to appoint a patient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs from September 2025. This is a rewarding role in a supportive setting where pupils thrive with the right support.
Location: Wantage, Oxfordshire
Salary: £20,000 – £23,000 (pro rata, depending on experience)
Contract: Term-Time Only, Full-Time
Start Date: September 2025
About the Role:
*
Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with special educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, communication or learning difficulties)
*
Support academic, emotional and behavioural development with guidance from the SENCo and teaching staff
*
Adapt learning tasks and use strategies such as visuals, sensory tools, and structured routines
*
Build trust, confidence, and consistency for pupils who need extra care
