Year SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time in Eccles (Starting September 2025)
Teaching Personnel is partnering with a highly regarded, inclusive primary school in Droylsden to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This full-time position (8:30am – 3:30pm) begins in September and focuses on providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The school holds an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating and is committed to delivering a broad, balanced curriculum tailored to meet every learner’s needs. You’ll join a supportive team dedicated to helping each child thrive in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted SEN support to pupils individually and in small groups
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities
Support the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Help create an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom atmosphere
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to promote pupil development
Track pupil progress and adjust support as necessary
What We’re Looking For:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience supporting children with SEN
Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with young learners
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)
