SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: SEN School - Knowsley, Liverpool
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday
About the Role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Knowsley, Liverpool. This full-time role begins on 1st September 2025 and involves supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs in both one-to-one and small group settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with complex learning needs, including behavioural, emotional, and sensory challenges
Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Helping with personal care and behaviour regulation where required
Monitoring and recording pupil progress
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A relevant qualification in education or support (desirable)
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)Before You Apply
