SEN Teaching Assistant - Numerous schools, Herefordshire 🌟
📍 Location: Herefordshire
🕒 Hours: Full-time (32.5 hours per week), Term Time Only
📅 Start Date: September 2025 (or as soon as possible)
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Do you have the patience, empathy, and dedication to make a real difference in a child's learning journey?
A number of mainstream and SEN schools are seeking committed and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team. These are both full-time and part-time positions, term-time only role, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs across the school.
💼 The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies
Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
✅ The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping children thrive
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one!)
🎓 Desirable:
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification)
