Location: Barnet, N12 (commutable from Edgware, Mill Hill, Hendon, Colindale, Finchley, and Harrow)
Daily Pay: £95 - £110
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier for the final week of term)
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
Long Term Futures are supporting a well-respected and inclusive primary school in Barnet who are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves providing one-on-one support for a delightful Year 2 pupil who has a rare brittle bone condition, requiring specialist care, manual handling and hoist support.
About the Role
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child's educational journey. The successful Teaching Assistant will:
Provide dedicated one-to-one support to ensure the pupil can access learning safely
Assist with manual handling, hoisting and positioning, following the pupil's care plan at all times
Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external specialists
Support the child's social, emotional, and academic development
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environmentThis full-time position is set to start in September 2025, but the school would welcome the right candidate to start earlier during the final week of term to allow for a smooth transition.

Experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting children with complex physical needs
