Are you a patient, caring individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?
A welcoming mainstream primary school in the Castle Bromwich area of Birmingham is looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 1 pupil from September. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide personalised support, helping the child access learning and thrive in a nurturing environment.
Your Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 child with special educational needs.
Assist with classroom tasks and adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
Monitor and record progress, sharing updates with staff and parents.
Support the child's emotional and social development throughout the school day.What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally within a primary school setting.
Understanding of KS1 curriculum and age-appropriate strategies.
Calm, empathetic approach and strong communication skills.
