Job Description
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a dynamic mainstream secondary school to recruit a 1:1 SEN Support Assistant for a Year 10 female pupil with autism and learning disabilities, based in the school's specialist SEN provision. September 2025 - July 2026.
Your Role:
Provide individualised, structured support throughout the school day.
Encourage confidence and independence while assisting with learning and social interaction.
Support the pupil's sensory and emotional regulation needs.
Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, parents, and external agencies.
Monitor and record progress in line with the student's EHCP.
Essential Criteria:
A degree in Education or a related subject is required.
Previous experience supporting pupils with autism and learning disabilities is advantageous.
Calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
