About the role:
Teach Now is seeking a compassionate, skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, inclusive primary school in Camden from 1 September 2025. You will deliver bespoke 1:1 and small-group interventions for pupils with complex SEND—particularly Autism and significant communication needs—helping every child realise their potential.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide tailored academic and pastoral support to individual pupils
• Implement EHCP targets under the guidance of class teachers and the SENCo
• Use visual, sensory and AAC strategies to foster engagement and independence
• Track progress, maintain meticulous records and liaise with therapists, families and external agencies
• Model calm, positive behaviour and champion safeguarding at all times
About you:
You have recent mainstream primary experience, a proven record of supporting children with Autism and complex medical needs, and the resilience to adapt practice following specialist advice. A Level 2/3 TA qualification (or equivalent) and Team-Teach/Makaton training are desirable; above all, you are committed to making a measurable difference for Camden’s most vulnerable learners.
Contract & reward:
Salary: £85 – £100 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time, term-time temporary (Local Authority: Camden)
