Do you have PEG feeding training and experience working with learners with PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties) and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)?

About the Role:
This September-start opportunity is based at a highly regarded SEN school that supports students aged 4–19 with a range of complex learning and medical needs. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, skilled staff, and strong multi-agency support.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis, primarily those with PMLD and ASC
Work with non-verbal students using communication systems such as PECS and Makaton
Assist with sensory activities, emotional regulation, and daily routines
Provide personal care, including toileting, manual handling, and PEG feeding
Collaborate with therapists, teachers, and families to ensure individualised care
Candidate Requirements:
Essential: PEG feeding training and experience
Experience working with PMLD and/or ASC learners
Confident supporting personal care and mobility needs
Calm, patient and able to remain composed under pressure
Enthusiastic, team-oriented and passionate about inclusive education
Suitable For:
Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants
Support Workers with healthcare or residential care backgrounds
Graduates in Psychology, Education, or Nursing
Individuals committed to a long-term, impactful role in SEN education
