SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cranleigh, Surrey
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with complex needs? Our client, a well-established specialist education setting in the Cranleigh area, is looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join their team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a nurturing environment that supports students aged 5 to 19 with autism, learning difficulties, and associated communication needs. You will be instrumental in helping students achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs
Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to implement individual learning plans
Assist with classroom activities and help manage behaviour in a positive, supportive way
Support students with daily routines, social skills, and personal development
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all learners
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH is highly desirable
A positive, patient, and resilient attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
